Almanac, Long-term Conditions

When your body has limits and the day still has to happen.

For people whose body sets the agenda. Energy is rationed. Brain fog is daily. We do not ask you to push through. We ask one thing at a time.

MS Parkinson's ME / chronic fatigue Long Covid Fibromyalgia Chronic pain Autoimmune
What it does for you

Three things, sized to your energy.

01

One thing at a time. Never piles.

"Did you sleep?" That is the whole question. On a fog day a single number is the whole answer. Brain fog gets one-word days. We never ask you to find words you have not got.

02

Energy is the unit of measure.

Fatigue, pain, mobility, brain fog. All on a 1 to 10 scale so you do not have to find sentences. Today is a chair day, not a steps day. That is allowed and we say so.

03

Tracks the slow patterns over months.

Flares. Weather correlations. Bad weeks. What the new medication is doing. So when you sit in front of your specialist for ten minutes, you arrive with data instead of trying to remember.

A real fog day

Brief. Gentle. Energy-aware.

This is what a foggy day looks like inside The Almanac. One question. A number. Permission. No "have you tried...". No piling up of suggestions. Just a voice that knows fatigue and respects it.

You can answer with a number. You can answer with one word. You can not answer at all and the door is still here tomorrow.

Morning Tom.
Brain fog. One word: how thick?
Soup
OK. Soup days are real days.
Today is for staying upright. Skip the inbox.
When you can, two glasses of water within reach. Not a target. Just there.

Hi Jen. Just one number.
Pain. One to ten.
8
An eight is a hold-everything day.
No to-do list today. Heat pad. Soft food. Nothing else expected.
I will not ask anything else until tomorrow. Rest.
Parkinson's
Robert, freezing
stuck at the doorway, frustrated

Stuck. Door.
OK Robert. Eyes on the floor, count three things you can see.
Mat, wood, slipper
Good. Now imagine a line on the floor and step over it.
One foot. That is enough to start.
Moving
Brilliant. The freeze passed. Not a fight, just a wait.
