Our promise to you

What you tell us, stays with us.

No legal jargon, no 4,000-word scroll. Just the four things you most need to know before you start. The full privacy notice is one click away if you want it.

1

We never sell your data.

Not to advertisers. Not to insurers. Not to data brokers. There is no commercial reason this platform exists other than to support you. If that ever changes, we tell you first and ask again.

2

Nobody outside the people you named gets to see anything.

The carer you listed, the family member you trust, your GP if you let us. That is it. Not your employer. Not your landlord. Not your insurer. Not even other Almanac users. We do not contact anyone you have not pre-approved.

3

You can delete everything, any time.

Send a single message in the bot saying delete me. Within seven days every entry, every voice note, every log, every contact you gave us is gone. No friction, no questions, no goodbye email.

4

Your data lives in the UK, end-to-end.

Hosted on a server in the United Kingdom, encrypted on the way in and encrypted at rest. Backed up daily. ICO-registered as a data controller. UK GDPR compliant from day one.

The honest exception

If you tell the bot you are about to harm yourself or someone else, and you have asked us in your intake to escalate at that point, we may contact your named emergency contact or signpost you to 999 / Samaritans. That is the one and only time we share anything outside the named people. You can disable this by saying do not escalate in your bot at any time.

If you are in crisis right now: Samaritans 116 123 (free, 24/7), SHOUT text 85258, or 999 in immediate danger. These are always here, separate from us.
